Merlin Manufacturing has worked with U.S. Franchise Systems (USFS) since the hotel management company incorporated in 1995. USFS now franchises three hotel brands:

• Microtel Inns & Suites
• Hawthorn Suites
• America's Best Inns & Suites.

In addition to creating draperies and bedspreads for USFS that meet fabrication, specification and quality standards for their brands, Merlin has also created items to meet the needs of their disabled guests. Merlin Manufacturing invented a special baton for the drapery rod to make it easier for someone without the ability to grip or someone in a wheel chair to open and close the window treatments in their hotel room. Merlin Manufacturing’s patented 51" long ADA Drapery Baton with a 5" loop at the end has been so well received that we have made it a standard in all hotels we complete. And, several other hotel chains have made the ADA Drapery Baton a requirement on their properties.
